Honest Answers About Care, Costs, and What to Expect After a Car Accident
At CARS Medical, we know that being in a car accident is stressful — and navigating your recovery shouldn’t make it harder.
Whether you’re an injured patient, an attorney, or a healthcare provider referring clients to us, this page answers the most important questions about how our practice works, what services we offer, and how we help you recover with confidence.
What kind of injuries do you treat?
We treat a full range of car accident-related injuries, including:
- Whiplash and neck pain
- Back injuries and disc issues
- Concussions and head trauma
- Soft tissue injuries and inflammation
- Anxiety, PTSD, and mental health issues related to trauma
We take an integrated approach — meaning we treat the whole person, not just the physical pain.
Do I need insurance to receive care?
No. If you qualify, we provide care under a medical lien, which means you receive treatment now, and your bill is paid later from your settlement or injury claim.
You will not be asked to pay upfront.
What is lien-based care?
A lien is a legal agreement allowing us to treat you now and be paid later, after your personal injury case is settled.
It protects you from upfront medical costs while ensuring we can provide the full scope of care you need. We coordinate directly with your attorney or claim manager to streamline everything.
What makes your clinic different from other accident injury providers?
CARS Medical is Charlotte’s first fully integrated accident recovery clinic. That means we offer:
- Medical evaluations
- Chiropractic care
- Physical therapy
- Mental health counseling
- Imaging (X-rays)
- Laser therapy
- Advanced regenerative services
How soon after my accident should I come in?
Ideally, within 72 hours of the accident. Even if you don’t feel much pain yet, symptoms can worsen over time. The sooner you start care, the better your outcome — and the stronger your documentation for any legal claim.
Can I still get care if I don’t live nearby?
Yes. We offer Telehealth Services for patients who live far from our Charlotte clinic or are unable to attend frequent in-person visits.
We can evaluate your condition, prescribe medications if appropriate, refer you for counseling, and provide a care plan — all remotely.
Can you help with counseling for trauma or fear of driving?
Will my attorney receive documentation from your clinic?
Yes. We work directly with attorneys and provide organized, thorough documentation to support your case. This includes evaluations, progress notes, treatment summaries, and discharge plans.
We’re trusted by law firms across Charlotte for our detailed records and patient-centered care.
Can I refer someone to your clinic as a doctor or provider?
Yes. We accept referrals from:
- Physicians
- Emergency room staff
- Chiropractors
- Physical therapists
- Nurse practitioners
- Urgent care providers
